Here are some pictures from 5/18. I had to start working on the tree that early. It looks like a cotton ball of green branches and leaves.
June first was a bad weekend. I arrived to find many of the plants hurt from the sun and heat. Even worse, two parts to the backyard irrigation system broke. The hose end by the shed (on the fourth cycle) busted and water was running out without any resistance when on. Also, a small sprinkler head broke on the back gardenbed and went directly into the backyard neighbor's when on. It probably went 9 feet high. Also, I didn't have the lawn sprinklers on high enough and there are some sun burnt spots. I turned the sprinklers up higher, but the damage was done.

The roses are a little hurt but will do fine. It's been around 100 degrees for a while now:
I dug out the unwanted rose (root shown below) and trimmed the backyard trees.
